or at least for our family it is. Recently I broke out our tents and set them up in order to inspect them for damage from the last set up and do a quick inventory of our gear. I’m starting to have an interest in more primitive camping and I’m currently looking at tent hammocks and kayaks in order to escape from civilization and relax a little. The family, however, is not interested with the primitive hammock camping that I have a yearning for, so starting next month we are going to start hitting up our state parks here in Florida where they have working showers and bathroom facilities. We are headed to Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna, Florida where the weather should be nice enough the end of October to enjoy the outdoors. We’ve got quite the group tagging along with us and the kids are super excited. As I peruse the outdoor blogs I found a great article and video on how to make a “Swedish Torch”. I found it interesting and thought my fellow outdoors enthusiasts might also find it interesting. I think I’ll give it a try during our next camping trip.
